Karen presented the “Key of the City” to the Wired! Band at their homecoming show Friday, March 2, 2012.
Kevin Sutton, Rick Jacobson and Keith Bakke came together at the former Wired and Unplugged Coffeehouse on First, eventually adopting their coffeehouse handle of the “Wired Band” in 2006. The band represented the Washington Blues Society in Memphis in 2011 and again this year when they placed first in the band division, around 110 bands from all over the USA and beyond. Besides an honor for the band members, it is also a horn to toot for the City of Snohomish — the number one place to play and hear the blues!
Karen will present an official Proclumation of Achievement to the band members at the city council meeting on March 6, 2012, 7p, at the George Gilbertson Boardroom, Snohomish School District Resource Center, 1601 Avenue D.
